St. Louis shooting: Murder-suicide at St. Louis business after office dispute

St. Louis shooting update: The St. Louis shooting on Thursday that left four people dead appears to be a murder-suicide following an office dispute between the St. Louis business owner and three of his employees. “Police say 59-year-old Ahmed Dirir appeared to have an argument with employees and opened fire killing 44-year-old Khadra Muse, 29-year-old Seaeed Abdulla, and 54-year-old Bernice Solomon-Redd,” reported Fox2 Now on June 13, 2013.

The ongoing investigation into the St. Louis shooting at 1:40 pm. on Thursday afternoon has examined a surveillance video which shows 59-year-old Ahmed Dirir in what appears to be a verbal dispute with the other three employees. Ahmed Dirir is believed to be the owner of AK Home Healthcare, LLC., which has been in the building on the 2700 block of Cherokee Street in St. Louis for two years.

The St. Louis shooting surveillance video shows that the argument between Dirir and his employees was brief and that it was followed by gunshots that penetrated the walls inside the St. Louis business.

At this point in the St. Louis shooting investigation it is not clear if the office dispute had begun shortly before the murder-suicide or if the argument was a continuation of a previous office argument.

The St. Louis surveillance video shows that no other person had entered or exited the St. Louis business before or after the shooting. Police found a semi-automatic handgun next to the suspect’s, Ahmed Dirir’s, body.

Other than the St. Louis surveillance video, police have not been able to find any eyewitnesses to the shooting. However, some people do report having heard loud arguments between the employer and his employees and said that one Somalia woman knew one of the victims and that she and her employer had come to the United States in order to “escape political unrest in Somalia.”
