Dream Big provided uniforms for the Somalia Women’s National Basketball Team (Daawo)

Next week in Entebbe, Uganda. There is an  African tournament in which 12 afrobasket 2017 zone 5 countries are going to compete for who represents eastern and northern Africa in  the following 2018 Women’s Basketball World Cup and the 2020 Olympics. Somalia being one of those countries who will compete for a slot to play in the Olympics and the World Cup.

Somali community members in American and other diaspora counties led by former athletes like Su’ad Galow  are supporting, inspiring and organizing new generation of players to participate international tournaments in hopes of representing Somalia, qualifying for the 2018 Women’s Basketball World Cup and the 2020 Olympics.

Many of the team members are coming from the city of Mogadishu while other members of the team are coming from Canada and the United States. Jamad Fiin being a part of one the national team members who lives in Boston, Massachusetts. On behalf of Su’ad Galow who is the director of the Somali women’s national team accepts a partnership with “Dream Big”  provided jerseys as well as sports equipment for the Somali National Team. Dream Big is located in Newton, Massachusetts and on behalf of the Somali Women’s national team, Jamad Fiin accepts their gift.
